SVG is a vector format that isn't supported everywhere — Word documents, email clients, many CMS platforms, and older apps often can't display SVG. Converting to JPG produces a compressed raster image that works in every context, at the cost of scalability.
JPEG does not support transparency. If your SVG has a transparent or no background, transparent areas will be filled with white in the JPG output. To preserve transparency, convert to PNG instead.
The quality slider controls JPEG compression. At 85–90%, the output is visually sharp with a compact file size. For SVGs containing flat colours and simple shapes, even 70–80% quality produces excellent-looking results.
