Compressing images one at a time is fine for a single photo and tedious for thirty. Product catalogues, event galleries, property listings, portfolio pages, and blog archives all tend to arrive as a folder of large files straight off a camera or phone, and every one of them needs the same treatment.

The bulk tool applies one set of settings across every file you upload and returns the results as a single ZIP archive. That turns a repetitive half-hour of uploading, waiting, and downloading into one pass.

Because a batch shares one setting, pick a target that is sensible for the whole group rather than perfect for one file. Photographs of similar subjects compress predictably together; mixing detailed screenshots with soft portraits in the same batch means the setting will be generous for some files and tight for others.

If a folder contains genuinely different material — logos with transparency alongside photographs, for instance — split it into two batches. Photographs to JPEG or WebP, graphics with transparency to PNG or WebP, and each group gets a setting that actually fits.

For a gallery or catalogue, the most effective sequence is to resize everything to the largest dimensions your layout displays, then batch compress to a target size. A product grid rarely needs images wider than 800 pixels, and thumbnails often work at 30–80 KB, which keeps a page with forty products feeling responsive.

Consistency has a second benefit beyond speed: images of similar weight load in a predictable order, so galleries fill in evenly rather than one large file stalling the rest of the page.

Each image is uploaded, compressed on our server, packed into the archive, and deleted as soon as your download finishes. Nothing is retained, indexed, or shared, and no account is required at any point.

Larger batches naturally take longer, mostly because of upload time rather than the compression itself. On a slow connection, a couple of smaller batches will often feel quicker than one very large one.
